He will take you on a musical journey with his amazing guitar playing and mesmerizing vocals. Using both originals and covers he will take you to another level musically and emotionally.

Ian Harrod’s love for music started at a very young age. He began learning how to play bass in his 6th grade orchestra class. From there on he pursued voice lessons.
His journey has led him to become an avid singer/songwriter/bass and acoustic guitar player. Influences include The Beatles, Crosby Stills & Nash, Marvin Gaye, Van Morrison, and many more.
His musical career blossomed in the city of Raleigh NC, where he and some friends created his first band “The Flaming Losers” and then went on to bloom in the mountains of Asheville, NC.
He played the upright bass in the early years of “The Honeycutter’s” and bass in “Velvet Truckstop”, “The Blue Grass Lumber Company”, “Johnson’s Crossroad”, “The Space Heaters”, “Dave Desmelik”, “The Train Wrecks”, “Habibigy”, “Ride With Daddy”, “Terranean”, and “Shotgun Gypsies”
He has played along side many great musicians including Artimus Pyle, Ike Stublefield, Yon Rico Scott, Kevin Kinney, Ray Sisk and Tom Constanten, Wanda Lou Greene and Jim Peterman.
Ian has participated in the Warren Haynes Christmas Jam by Day with Kevin Kinney, Merle Fest, BBQ Fest: Tryon, NC, LEAF: Black Mountain, NC, Downtown After Five & Beer City Fest: Asheville, NC.
You can hear him playing bass on Nikki Talley’s “Beautiful Charmer” and “Irene” and “When Bitter Met Sweet” by “The Honeycutters”.
For three years, he has performed a great majority of his original songs as lead singer and bass player in his own band called “176” from Tryon, NC. They released their first album “Enjoy The Ride” in 2014 and have since recorded two more albums.
Presently, he continues to play solo around the mountains of NC and with “The Everyday’s, “Devils in Dust” and Kevin Scandlin.
He is a member of “Laura Blackley And The Wildflowers”. Who recently won the NC Blue’s Challenge which took them to the International Blue’s Challenge in Memphis,TN. They released their first album called “Tell It To The Darkness” in April 2017. You can hear them playing around town in Asheville, NC.
